Memorial Day Concert

What a wonderful tribute to those men and women who have served in our armed forces! We attended the SALUTE! concert in downtown Columbus, IN the Friday evening of Memorial weekend, and were treated to a fabulous program. Among many others, the program included Seventy-Six Trombones, Another Openin’, Another Show, Give Me Your Tired, Your Poor,
1812 Overture (complete with several howizters to fire during the Overture), and the Washington Post March. Mom and dad were in town, so we got to enjoy their company along with the concert. If all of that wasn't enough, some airplanes, (KC135 and War Birds from the Korean Era) to be exact, flew over to the delight of everyone.

This is a must if you're in Columbus, IN area around Memorial Day. And it's free! Pack some dinner, lawn chairs/blankets for the grass and you're set for a great evening.
